So All Time Low played the fucking fillmore on november 21 in detroit.

For the record, this venue, compared to the one's they have played, was huge. They sold the show out.
And honestly, I couldn't have been more proud to have known who they were when they were still small. I couldn't have been more proud to be able to sing along to every song they played, even the new one. And I couldn't have been more proud to have seen them live when they played St. Andrews Hall, and didn't sell it out.

But mostly, I could not have been more proud of them.

Here's what confuses me.
These fucking fans who are basically, accusing these poor guys of "selling out."
They still meet with fans after the show, dont they? Yes.
They still make a point to post things on myspace, letting us know what is going on with them, right? Of course.
Don't they let us know that they care about their fans? Don't they let us know that they are aware that without the fans, they wouldn't be able to play these fucking huge venues, and most especially, sell them out? All the time.
Then, how the fuck have they sold out?

Now, I completley understand that it sucks when your favorite band gets really big and all of a sudden at concerts you are surrounded by screaming girls who want to have the singer's babies. But isn't it about the band, not the people who like the band? It isn't the band's fault that these girls go to shows. Therefore we can't take that out on them. Sure--when a band gets popular, fangirls come with it. But would it really make you happy to see your favorite band not progress at all?

Well, if that means no teenies...

I've heard a lot of things about the show I went to. Some people were mad because they rescheduled the venue a couple times because the small ones kept selling out. Some people were mad because they said that "the venue wasn't big enough for them." Maybe they wanted to give more people a chance to see them. Maybe they felt bad for the fans who waited to get their tickets, and they realized the show was sold out. Maybe they want a lot of people to hear their music. Maybe they aren't arrogant assholes. Maybe they are still the same guys. Ever consider that?

Another thing was "they didn't even pay attention to me when I waited hours in the freezing cold to meet them. they were only paying attention to the fangirls."
Here's what I think: the "fangirls" waited hours in the freezing cold too. And tbh, I don't think "fangirls" would wait that long. Maybe they are just...girls. Maybe they were trying to pay attention to all the people and they couldn't give you a whole fucking conversation and a picture. It was fucking freezing in Detroit. They definitley did not have to come outside and talk to fans. I could think of tons of bands who wouldn't come out. Be thankful that they actually cared.

Wow--that was a lot longer then I had planned.

To end my several paragrapsh of full on ranting, I'm just going to say this.
All Time Low is a fucking kick ass band who cares about the people who support them.
As long as they keep making music and playing shows, I don't care how many girls are there. I don't care how big the venues are. I love the music, and it doesn't matter to me who else goes to shows, or what obscene things girls scream at them.
And quite frankly, I can't wait for their new album. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us on the next tour.

xoxo-natalie.
